Dear Parent/Guardians,

Welcome Back!  I look forward to your continuous support as your child begins the 2011-2012 school year, which promises to be filled with learning, spiritual growth and lots of fun.  I also look forward to a good school year that will be successful for our students, teachers and parents alike.  The Blessed Sacrament Faculty, Principal and Staff are honored that you have chosen to entrust us with your child(ren).  Teachers have put a lot of time and energy into getting ready for the new school year.  Remember that quality education, as always, is our focus.  Our goal is to provide our students with the best education in a safe and Christian environment.

Our teachers are excited and look forward to sharing many academic experiences with our students.  As we partner with our parents, we will work together to ensure a rich and rewarding educational experience for our students.  I am confident that there will be many opportunities to make this a memorable year for you and your child(ren).  Blessed Sacrament's students are the most important part of our school and together we can work to help them be the best they can be.
Technology has become a priority for me at Blessed Sacrament.  I am happy to inform you that All Classrooms are equipped with Smartboards.  We installed the final 4 boards this summer.   Also our Blessed Sacrament website is up and running.  Please take advantage of this website and its many benefits.  Please visit us at www.bssbronx.com.  I would also like to take this time, to review our telephone service.  Our telephone number to the school has NOT changed, but you must now dial an extension when the automated message plays.  The extension for the Beach Ave Main office is 201.

The Taylor Ave office is extension 300 and the Nurses office is extension 311.  Please make note of these changes.

Finally, I know how important parents are to their child(ren)'s education and the need for your cooperation and involvement is vital to providing your child(ren) with the best learning experience.  It is important that you speak to your child(ren) about their learning experience on a daily basis.  Your interest in their school progress will help motivate them to do their best.  It is important that you maintain contact with your child's teacher and me.  Building a strong partnership will ensure your child's success.

I look forward to a working together to make things happen for our students.

In Christ's Love,

Ms. Herminia M. Roman
